Happy Valentine's Day!

Whether you are single or happily attached, I hope everyone has a special day!

Indulge.

Watch.

Great Expectations is not only only of my favorite stylish movies, but also incredibly romantic.

Plan. (romantic dinner or girl's night out.)

Give.

Kennedy Style.

After watching the SAG Awards last night I turned to TLC to watch Kennedy Home Movies, two hours of just that, a compilation of Kennedy movies from when JFK was a child to after Jackie married Aristotle.  I was so fasciated I watched it twice!  I came away so inspired by the innate style of the Kennedy clan that I wanted to post some of my favorite photos of the Kennedy/Bouvier women Jackie, Carolyn, and Lee.

Wild over Leopard.

And Warhol's muse Edie Sedgwick lounging on top of her leopard coat.

I adore leopard print and think anyone can pull off a touch of leopard in her everyday style, the trick is just to stick to one item of leopard.   Over the years I have become a collector of animal print trenches and coats, but a leopard scarf or shoe is fabulous as well.  Enjoy some images of leopard in interior design and fashion.

Jackie received this coat from Ethiopian Emeperor Haile Selassie during his visit to the White House in 1962.  Concerned that Jackie would think the coat was too exotic,  he placed two of these leopard inspirecd bracelets (below) into one of the coat's pockets.  She absolutely adored both presents.

"There will never be another Camelot" -JBKO

It was announced over the weekend that the 8 hour miniseries about the Kennedy Family that was set the air on the History Channel this Spring now will not.  There were not a lot of details released only that the History Channel decided that this version of the legendary clan did not fit in well with its brand, however rumors have been swirling over the weekend that Caroline Kennedy was not happy with the interpretation and lobbied to have it pulled.  With Katie Holmes playing Jackie, I was curious to see if she could pull off her breathless voice and innate style on screen (Truthfully, I am more than a little doubtful...) Until then, here are some photographs of the former first lady to tide me over until Darren Aronofsky releases his version with Rachel Weisz.

I've never seen this before!

Taken during her trip to India.  Loved her wardrobe here - shimmery fabrics and lots of PINK! (From Life images)

I love how relaxed and happy she looks here.  This was taken in her Georgetown home in 1959. (Image from dailydivadish.com

If you are looking for a biography of Jackie, I have read several and found Sarah Bradford's America's Queen: A Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis to be by far the best.  You can purchase it here:
